The landscape is made accessible through the creation of a walking and cycle-path network. The area also offers various opportunities for water sports. There are various beaches: nature beaches which offer peace and quiet, water-sports beaches for those who prefer water sports activities, and then family beaches where the lifeguard keeps a watchful eye out. Serooskerke is centrally located in Walcheren and just a short distance away from several interesting sites that are well worth a visit. Within a radius of 5km you will find the historic, picturesque town of Veere situated on Veerse Lake, various beaches, the nature reserve De Manteling, and Middelburg the large capital city of Zeeland with its numerous markets, art and culture routes, shops and many accessible monuments. Other popular attractions for a day trip include the delta, fun, and water park Neeltje Jans which can be found at the Oosterschelde; the maritime attraction “Het Arsenaal” in Vlissingen; the family park Mini Mundi in Middelburg; and the beekeeping enterprise “Poppendamme”. In Serooskerke itself there is an open-air swimming pool, the Molen de Jonge Johannes play-farm for children, and you can also enjoy the nature and beautiful surroundings of Park Welgelegen.
